I am a bit of an old soul and tend to rail against modernity, all while surfing the web, drinking coffee (sourced thousands of miles away) in my air conditioned office. Yes, I am spoiled. I complain about the ills of society, yet I […]
A Sibling’s Perspective There are dozens of articles about what it’s like raising a child with special needs from the Parent’s viewpoint, but not too many about what it’s like growing up with a sibling with Special Needs. My husband and I have the […]
If you go by the idea that 10,000 hours of practice makes you an expert, then my wife and I qualify as child rearing experts, right? Wrong. Maybe it would if kids did not change the rules every 24 hours. My wife and […]
Unlike most folks I do not make New Year resolutions Not because I don’t believe in resolutions, but because I know me and after Christmas I am not going to be hitting the gym every day, nor will I be likely to skip Netflix […]
This is a guest post from my parents’ website about what it’s like raising 8 giant children. For those who don’t know me, I am 6′ 2″…. and I am one of the shortest in the family. 😉 Be sure to check out their […]
Just another dude writing his opinions on fitness, nutrition and health and wellness. So why should you waste your precious time listening to me? I was not captain of the football team, baseball team or anything for that matter. The sports I played […]
Hi! We are so glad you’re here! My husband and I started this site to share the little adventures of our growing family!
I’m just a mom of three adorable little Critters. I have a charming husband who inspired me to go way out of my comfort zone to meet new people and challenge myself to try something new and adventurous every week. What better way than to make a website and share it with everyone, yikes! Yes, my husband is the adventurous one….and I am not. BUT! Stick around, cuz I’m really trying to explore new ways of staying healthy, being frugal and finding clothes that perfectly fit a 6’2″ Texas mama. All that and simultaneously trying to raise 3 kidlets under the age of 3... More coffee, anyone?
Anyway, we live in the suburbs of the beautiful Lone Star State! We are always trying to find better ways to live a little healthier and become a better people every day. Our ultimate goal is to get a small farm, with a chicken or two and maybe a small goat, because, you know, we’ve never had animals before and that would be cool and exciting.
So, please join us and learn together as we travel outside our comfort zone to make our families a little healthier and a little happier!
